About Jokake Carefree
Named after the legendary Jokake Inn — a 1930s pueblo-revival destination resort at the base of Camelback Mountain — this area carries some of the richest heritage in Paradise Valley. The original resort, designed by architect R.T. Evans, drew visitors to the desert for decades before making way for The Phoenician. Today, the nearby Jokake Camelback Properties enclave is home to roughly 15 ultra-luxury estates on 2 to 10-acre parcels along the north slope of Camelback, with views of the Praying Monk rock formation and the city lights below.
